Sandra Bernhard Long Beach Concert reviews
Good to see Diana Live - but....
The show did not really capture my interest. Sandra Bernhard's voice sounded very rich and I enjoy jazz piano. The ambiance, talk, and drink were missing, making it feel like a jazz club without the complete experience.
Sandra seemed disconnected, perhaps wishing she was in New York with her family. There wasn't much substance in her performance.
The quartet was decent overall, with a standout guitarist, but the show fell short. I considered leaving during the non-existent intermission. Furthermore, a nearby woman began singing along and texting during the performance.
